Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing Assistant Clinical Professor Jennifer Adamski DNP, APRN, ACNP-BC, CCRN, has been selected as a Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine (FCCM). This fellowship recognizes the significant contributions made by individuals who have impacted the collaborative field of the critical care profession at a regional, state, or national level.

Dr. Adamski is the director of the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program at the Emory School of Nursing. In addition, she maintains a clinical practice as a critical care Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) for the Critical Care Flight team at Cleveland Clinic, which is the first in the country to have a nurse practitioner-managed flight team.

Her 16 years of experience as a critical care nurse practitioner and role as an independent consultant for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) model development earned her recognition by the American College of Critical Care Medicine (ACCM), which was created by the Society of Critical Care Medicine’s (SCCM).

The SCCM is primarily a physician-led organization with members in more than 100 countries whose mission is to secure the highest quality care for all critically ill and injured patients. As the largest non-profit medical organization dedicated to promoting excellence and consistency in the practice of critical care, SCCM represents all professional components of the critical care team.

Dr. Adamski will be inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine in a virtual convocation in February 2021.

Founded in 1988, the ACCM emphasizes quality management in the practice and administration of critical care through the development of multi-professional guidelines and practice parameters. With Dr. Adamski’s scholarship and areas of research including trauma prevention, rapid response teams and critical care/trauma advances in hemorrhagic shock, this recognition will only add to her ability to further influence the critical care field.
